MONEY RAISED FOR CHARITY SINCE 2004

It is not just a marathon, it’s a festival where people celebrate spirit of freedom and walk and run as per their ability.

The four days I spent in Bangalore as the event ambassador for the TCS World 10K Bangalore was an enriching experience and I go back with memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Whether it was running for personal goals, or sporting glory, every single participant who crossed the finish line on that day was a winner.

One of the most wonderful things for me was to see the shift in the priorities of the Indian people, to see thousands of them taking to running, understanding its benefits, learning about their own capabilities and expressing themselves.

The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon has moved on from being a sporting event to being a catalyst for social change. Over the last 12 years, we have been happy to lend our unstinted support to this movement and help it grow into one of the world’s favourite marathons.

The Delhi Government is extremely pleased to be associated with the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon. The fact that the event is in its 11th edition and receives participation from so many runners is a testimony to the popularity of the event.

The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon was the most wonderful experience for me and my wife Lizzie. Since it was my first visit to an international mass-participation running event after winning the Olympic 800m gold medal with a world record, I was simply overwhelmed by the attention and adulation I received.

Within a few years, the TCS Word 10K race in Bangalore has become a favourite of runners, not just from the city but from all over India and abroad. TCS has always promoted the philosophy, healthy lifestyle and wellness and the TCS World 10K Bangalore is another example of spreading the message of health and wellness within the community.

The Airtel Delhi Half Marathon brought the entire country together and there was a great spirit of friendship and joy among the participants.

The idea that running is a metaphor for life has always intrigued me: you get out of it whatever you put into it. I think that’s a fascinating thought. And it’s so true! Mumbai Marathon brings people together and helps in breaking down artificial barriers. It also celebrates the strength and unity of the human-spirit.

I think the ADHM has done a great job. As a brand we have always said that when people talk, barriers break. Running is also a kind of talking and people mingling together.

It was a great sight to see 25000 coming together for this event. Running is such a universal sport and such events bring people together to celebrate the spirit of life. What I saw on Race Day was much more overwhelming, competitive and beautiful than I had imagined it would be. As an event ambassador, I am taking back some of the most beautiful memories of this city, the competition and the spirit shown by the people of Bengaluru. My heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in making this event a grand success.

Many congratulations to the organisers of TCSW10K for hosting the 12th edition of the event in our city. The run is now a calendar fixture not only for running community in Bengaluru but also for world-class athletes and India’s best. What we witnessed on this Sunday was truly inspirational with over 25,000 runners from different walks of life including World champions, Asian champion among others. What is more commendable is that the event has shown a heart of gold as the philanthropic efforts raised INR 4.5Cr for numerous causes.

On behalf of the Athletics Federation of India, I would like to congratulate all participants as well as the winners of the TCS World 10K 2019. Procam International continues to excel and has changed the landscape of running in India. Such events serve as a great platform for upcoming talent as well as elite pros to better themselves. The performances by our Indian contingent has been noteworthy. And I hope the good work done by all here continues for years to come and keeps benefiting the Indian eco-system

I and my wife Mrs Sudesh Dhankhar are overwhelmed and delighted at the sight of the humongous congregation of 15K+ participants full of unmatched enthusiasm and energy ready to hit the road. It is commendable to witness the way City of Joy embraced the event as it's own and brought in a massive wave of healthy living . It makes us proud & privileged to be a part of an international event of this stature seamlessly executed with all round coordination. What is more commendable to note, that event is more than a competition which provides a platform for humanitarian causes. I laud the participants, organizers, sponsors and civic authorities for putting their best foot forward to get the job done in a commendable way. I was totally mesmerized to be a part of 6th successful edition of the event. Wishing the team good luck & God speed.

It was spectacular to see all the people gather at the starting line and prove that TSK 25K is now part of the city’s culture. We are proud to be a part of this city that wakes up and runs with such gusto. The presence of Hernan Crespo has of course been a huge bonus as this city is crazy about Argentine soccer. We have always given our best support to the organisers as this firmly puts Kolkata on the global running calendar and matches with our Honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s philosophy of Biswa Bangla. Congratulations to the athletes who smashed the course records as well as our Indian athletes for their stellar performances

It was a spectacular effort from the organisers to put together a specialised long distance run of this magnitude and that too on a totally new route. Procam has not only brought the running culture to the city, but has also assembled a starry line of elite athletes from overseas, along with our champions from home, to make this a truly international event. At KMC we have coordinated with the organisers to chart the new route that takes the run deep into the city. I congratulate all the participants for putting their best foot forward and making this a day to remember.

We are extremely proud to see TSK 25K grow with such leaps and bounds. To be a silver label event only in its sixth year requires discipline, dedication and determination which Procam has shown in plenty. In the Army we propagate fit body and mind and it was amazing to see such a huge number of people come to the starting line to prove that the city has adopted a healthy way of life. The Vijay Diwas Trophy is an integral part of this run and it is taken very seriously by my boys, who practice to put up a good show. This day coincides with Vijay Diwas celebrations and I want to congratulate everybody for finding their personal victories through running.

This is my first visit to Kolkata and I regret not having come to this football loving city before. I feel almost at home the way they love Argentina. What makes the journey even more special are the talents I saw today flying past the finish line and the enthusiasm among the people to come out and run. It has been an inspiring Sunday morning and all I go back with is fond memories and the warm hospitality from India.

The TSK 25K on Sunday witnessed fantastic enthusiasm for the sport, drew in huge crowds both on the track and the cheering galleries. The wonderful weather, support from the residents of Kolkata and fierce competitive spirit brought out the best from the participants and new records were created. It was also a fantastic day for the Armed Forces celebrating Vijay Diwas. The fight for the coveted Vijay Diwas Cup was keenly contested by all the teams of the three services, the Army, Navy and Air Force. Our athletes ran a good race with a fine sense of camaraderie and competition and achieved excellent results. Congratulations to all the participants and the organisers for putting up a great event!

We believe a fit force is an efficient force. Hence, we ensure that our personnel participate in the Police Cup in TSK 25K to encourage others to join in the run. We had made elaborate arrangement for security of the event and smooth movement of traffic. We are happy that things went off well and we are looking forward to a bigger and better TSK 25K next year. Kolkata Police, as in previous years, will provide assistance for smooth conduct of the run in the future too.
